So I finally created the blog. I was a bit impulsive when I created the Facebook page. After a somewhat good night sleep, I came to the conclusion that facebook wasn't a smart move. It's to confusing with all other posts that have nothing to do with losing weight. So here we are!
You know, after watching Julie & Julia last night, I was a bit inspired to do this blog. I've always wanted a way to connect with the friends I have out there and I figured this was a start. I wanted to create something that would allow us to share our thoughts, encourage each other, swap recipes and plan events that push us to do something physical.
All are welcome. So if you know of people in the area who are looking to get healthier and are looking for workout buddies or something fun to do - tell them about this. It the next few days (or week) I'll be researchign our first activity :) I'm going to try to keep it as $-free as possible or as cheap as I can. I figure going out once a month with everyone for something big would be something that everyone can do.

- Hi All! I have decided to create this page as a sort of blob/inspiration/group help to lose some weight. Starting this Monday, July 19th, I have decided to finally start Weight Watchers. As many of you know, I had weight loss surgery two years ago this past May. For the first year and a half I was doing a fantastic job at losing the weight and keeping it off. But since last August, when we found out Greg had cancer, I went in a very deep rut. Dealing with the emotional heartache of cancer was really rough. So I got used to eating like crap and just not caring anymore. Well - I'm sorta sick of it now. I'm starting to gain weight back and I can actually feel it. I don't feel healthy anymore and I'm just tired all of the time. So I'm starting this with the intention of having help. I figure we can all have monthly meetings. Go out and do activities together. Like a girl's night out - but during days and with activities. Hiking, swimming, tennis - WHATEVER! LOL
Woo! I think this is a great idea, and especially to do it on here :D
